Mr. Pote’s practice is focused on strategic intellectual property counseling, including invention harvesting, global patent preparation and prosecution, copyright and trademark counseling, and cybersecurity issues, including information security and data privacy.

Biography

Mr. Pote’s practice is focused on strategic intellectual property counseling, including invention harvesting, global patent preparation and prosecution, copyright and trademark counseling, and cybersecurity issues, including information security and data privacy. He has been involved in infringement, validity, enforceability studies, IP due diligence and ex parte, and inter-partes patent reexaminations.

Representative technologies include software and electronic systems, deep learning systems, secure data communications, cloud computing, cryptography, and many others. Mr. Pote is a USPTO Registered Patent Attorney. He graduated from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he was Editor of Jurimetrics, Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. He earned a BSME from Purdue, where his coursework emphasized robotics, computer-aided design, and manufacturing.
