Prior to joining Jennings Strouss, Ms. Nelson worked as a Legal Nurse Consultant and Paralegal in Medical Malpractice Litigation for another Phoenix law firm. She has 30+ years of medical-legal experience.
Ms. Nelson provides her medical experience and support with matters regarding developing and structuring workers’ compensation, disability, personal injury and medical malpractice issues. She assists attorneys with various aspects of case management and trial preparation, including identifying and obtaining case records; researching literature and guidelines; consulting with health care providers, witnesses, and experts; and drafting documents.
Ms. Nelson has clinical and extensive administrative experience with the operations of Orthopedics, Medicine/Surgery, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Physical Rehabilitation, Operating Room, and Post Anesthesia Care (Recovery Room). In her administrative roles, she was responsible for staff education, legal management, maintaining extensive reports and records, and quality control.
Ms. Nelson received her certification of completion in Paralegal Studies by the Phoenix College, and is licensed to practice nursing in Arizona by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
