Biography
Mr. McDavis works in the Firm’s Business Transactions practice group. Cody earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law where he became the youngest to be named to the law school’s Board of Advisors upon graduation. He was elected Class President and served as the Managing Editor for the UCLA Law Review. Prior to law school, Cody was a Division I men’s basketball player at the University of Northern Colorado, where he graduated cum laude with his B.S. in Finance. As an advocate against sexual and gender-based violence, Cody works with college campuses across the country to implement better policies for a safer environment. Cody has written several articles that have been featured in the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and more. He has appeared on Fox News, CNN and other media outlets.
Representative Experience
- Served as legal advisor for a Phoenix-based biomedical research institute in the sale of a genomics sequencing lab for approximately $141.5 million
