Mr. Alston is a member with Jennings Strouss and has practiced law for 40 years in litigation, handling matters from first degree criminal murder defenses to sophisticated commercial matters.
Throughout his career, Mr. Alston has volunteered with and served on boards for various non-profits, including Esparanza – a non-profit corporation that operates and provides medical services in Brazil, a City of Phoenix organization that provides job training for underprivileged people, and the Maricopa County Bar Association. He also served as general counsel in the 1970s for the Arizona Chapter of the Wives and Families of the Vietnam POWs and MIAs. Mr. Alston believes serving our community can be, in some small measure, payback for the rich blessings he has received from the State of Arizona and its people. He and his wife, Patricia, have two children and six grandchildren. Mr. Alston also enjoys Karaoke.
Mr. Overholt is a member of the firm’s corporate and business practice. He has practiced law in Phoenix for more than 31 years, focusing on pension/benefits, corporate, tax, labor, and construction law.
He serves as counsel for the management appointed trustees for many Arizona Taft-Hartley employee benefit funds including the Operating Engineers, Laborers and Teamsters, Carpenters and Plumbers, and Pipefitters. Additionally, Mr. Overholt represents the Boards of Trustees of many multi-employer apprenticeship programs including the Laborers, Operating Engineers, Pipe Trades, Electricians, and Teamsters. These representations have provided him, as management counsel, with a unique relationship with the major construction industry labor unions.
Ms. Zamora joined Jennings Strouss in 2012. She is the Director of Records and Office Services and leads many of the foundation’s projects.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a legal secretary and law firm manager for the same attorney for 33 years, at three different firms. Ms. Zamora is a former Secretary and board member of the Association of Legal Administrators, Valley of the Sun Chapter. Her community involvement includes service as a parent volunteer to the local high school band, color guard, girl’s athletics, and girl scouts. This experience taught her the importance of parent involvement to the success of our young people. Ms. Zamora is an Arizona native. She and her husband, Rick, have three grown children and, in her spare time, Ms. Zamora enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and spending time with family.
Mr. Hansen has been with Jennings Strouss since March 2007 and is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer.
Before working in the legal services industry, He served as Regional Controller for a publicly held plastics manufacturing company based in Wisconsin. Mr. Hansen has a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of the Greater Phoenix Valley of the Sun Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and also served on the board of Girls on the Run of Maricopa & Pinal Counties. Mr. Hansen was a wide receiver on the 1986 Miami University (Ohio) football team that won the Mid American Conference championship. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking, lifting weights, watching professional and college sports, riding his Harley Davidson, and spending time with his son and twin daughters.
Ms. Andrus is the firm’s Training Specialist. She is passionate about community involvement and serves on the firm’s Holiday Helpers Committee in addition to the Foundation.

Andrew J. Chambers
Mr. Chambers is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. He assists clients with issues related to business disputes, construction litigation, surety and fidelity claims, coverage disputes, cybersecurity, and probate.
He is a current Vice-Chair of the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, and is a regular contributor to events and publications in the areas of construction, surety, fidelity, and cybersecurity law. Mr. Chambers and his wife, Christina, have two young children, Abigail and Wilson. He enjoys pretty much all types of rigorous outdoor activities and in 2014 completed the Ironman Arizona.
Mr. Egbert is the Chair of Jennings Strouss’ Labor and Employment practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
His practice focuses in the areas of discrimination, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour litigation. Mr. Egbert also appears before the state and federal appellate courts. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young Univerity J. Reuben Clark Law School. Mr. Egbert has been listed in Southwest Super Lawyers since 2007 and Best Lawyers in America® since 2006.
Mr. Hodges is a member of the firm’s litigation practice and assists clients in the areas of legal ethics and commercial, real estate, bankruptcy, and business disputes.
He also represents attorneys and law firms in matters relating to State Bar complaints, disciplinary matters, and other licensing, ethics, and professional-responsibility issues. Before joining the firm, Mr. Hodges served as a law clerk to the Honorable James A. Teilborg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and played baseball both collegiately and professionally, first at Texas Tech University and later in the Houston Astros minor-league system. Mr. Hodges spends the more important parts of every day with his wife, Tracy, and their three young children. He remains an avid sports fan.
Mr. Novak has practiced law for over 40 years in the areas of banking, real estate, financing, and corporate structuring.
He has been involved in assisting charities throughout his career. Mr. Novak has served on committees and boards, chaired various non-profits, and had the opportunity to work at the grass root level of several organizations. He was also sought out to start a new foundation for a 60-year old nonprofit in the Valley. This nonprofit has assisted over 100,000 families and individuals throughout its history and is one of the largest providers of assisted living in the southwest. Mr. Novak and his wife Heather, who also serves on the boards of several non-profits, have a son and enjoy outdoor activities.
Ms. Roa joined Jennings Strouss in 2010. She has 15 years experience in the legal industry and currently works as a paralegal in the firm’s litigation practice.
She also provides support for bankruptcy and family law matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Roa worked in the Child and Family Protection Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office providing legal services to the Arizona Department of Economic Security. She and her husband have three children. Ms. Roa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and loves camping and being in the outdoors. She is currently a board member for the Acclaim Academy Charter School in Phoenix, Arizona, and chairs the Jennings Strouss Holiday Helpers Committee, which provides assistance to employees and members of the community that are in need.
Ms. Stanbery joined the firm in 2006 as a member of the Information Technology department.
In addition, she is also responsible for the firm’s library resources. Prior to joining Jennings Strouss, Ms. Stanbery worked for the law firm of Robbins & Green for 26 years, where she was involved with the annual United Way Campaign for many years. She and her husband, Terry, have three sons and 7 grandchildren. Ms. Stanbery enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and attending sporting events.
