Jennings Strouss Foundation

In 2008, the firm recognized a desire among its personnel to highlight issues, maximize efforts, solve problems, and make a more significant impact in underserved communities, specifically in the area of education. As a result, the Jennings Strouss Foundation was established. The ultimate goal of the foundation is to lay the groundwork and pave new roads toward a better future for those it assists.

A primary recipient of the foundation’s support is the Creighton School District, particularly Gateway Elementary School. Gateway is located in East-Central Phoenix and serves kindergarten through 8th-grade students who come from one of the poorest areas of the Valley. Annually, the foundation hosts numerous events to raise money and supplies for Gateway Elementary, which is supported by Jennings Strouss and its personnel.

The foundation also regularly supports Girls on the Run, a national organization focused on inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that integrates running. Since 2015, the foundation has been the Presenting Sponsor of the Girls on the Run 5k events, during which Jennings Strouss personnel serve as running buddies, staff water stations, and volunteer at a booth where participants and their families can play carnival games and make posters to cheer on their runner.

The Jennings Strouss Foundation exists to enhance the communities that it serves through self-initiatives and partnerships with other non-profit organizations that share the foundation’s charitable aims, which include the advancement of the arts, education, and community development. The foundation achieves this goal through the collective investment of time, resources, and energy by the employees and members of Jennings Strouss, their families, and their friends.
