Phoenix | Marketing and Media Coordinator
Summary: Jennings Strouss, a 70-lawyer firm, is looking for a great communicator and top-notch writer to coordinate the firm’s external and internal marketing communications programs, graphic design, and media relations across our four offices. The Marketing and Media Coordinator will coordinate projects and activities for marketing legal services by performing a variety of duties as outlined below. Still, due to the nature of this position, these duties may change regularly. Every member of our team is expected to be professional, detail-oriented and organized, enthusiastic, flexible, driven, creative, and committed to promoting the firm’s mission and brand.
Marketing
- Manage the firm’s overall content marketing program.
- Manage and support content generation for advertising campaigns, RFP responses, proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Docket/manage RFP renewal calendar, rate increases.
- Maintains database and generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for direct marketing projects.
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external firm newsletters.
- Perform research on potential clients, clients, companies, etc.
- Monitor inventory and order print materials, promotional items, etc.
Media
- Oversee and direct content changes and updates to the firm’s website, including maintenance and coordination with our website hosting company.
- Manage and support the firm’s public and media relations program, including press releases, newsletters, client alerts, news announcements, and related items.
- Handle day-to-day activities with the firm’s outside public relations agency.
- Monitor and track media mentions, online directories, and online presence.
- Build and maintain relationships with local media contacts.
- Manage JD Supra account and add current content as it’s available.
Graphics + Design
- Conception and design of all firm branded advertising, using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- PowerPoint creation and preparation of seminar materials and handouts.
- Prepare and send all digital announcements, invitations, surveys, etc.
- Miscellaneous graphics projects for clients, attorneys, and other administrative departments.
- Coordinate with photographer and employees to schedule new/updated headshots.
- Direct and assume responsibility for client event messaging and graphics.
Client Services Department Team Member
- Acts as a point of contact for lawyers to initiate work within the department or check the status of jobs already in progress.
- Update marketing and business development information on the firm’s intranet.
- Departmental correspondence, calendar/deadline management, and processing of expenses.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Reports to Director of Marketing and Business Development.
Requirements
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience professional services field.
- Familiar with the current aspects of marketing strategy and technology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work independently and with other teams, and capacity to effectively prioritize projects are critical.
- Thorough research and analytical skills.
- Comfortable interacting with attorneys and across departments.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills – writing samples will be requested during the interview process.
- Flexibility to attend events on nights and weekends, as needed.
- Software Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity, and experience with most social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Adobe Creative Cloud) is expected. Experience in building email campaigns (MailChimp) is a plus.
