Jennings, Strouss & Salmon seeks an associate attorney with 1-3 years’ legal experience to work with the Energy practice group in its Washington D.C. office. Candidate must be independent, a self-starter, energetic and possess strong writing skills. Experience before FERC and/or knowledge of electric and natural gas law required. The candidate should have experience with FERC’s pro forma open access transmission tariff and the standard form generator interconnection procedures and agreements. Experience with the Dodd-Frank Act and CFTC regulations is a plus. The firm handles energy transactional matters and regulatory and compliance matters before the FERC, federal courts and state public utility commissions.
