Biography

Ms. Viemont joined Jennings Strouss in June 2009 and has over 32 years of paralegal experience encompassing a broad range of transaction experience, including corporate, business, tax, estate planning, and real estate.

Representative Experience

Corporate, Business, Mergers, and Acquisitions

  • Involved in numerous types of corporate and business transactions, including the formation of for-profit corporations, non-profit organizations and limited liability companies in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and other offshore jurisdictions
  • Assists with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other transactions, ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars to several million

Tax

  • Responsible for the preparation and management of all necessary tax and organizational documentation
  • Communicates with clients on a variety of issues and works directly with third parties concerning the tax structure of entities and required filings with the IRS
  • Assists with IRS audits, including drafting initial responses to document requests received from the IRS, and dealing directly with clients and third parties to obtain required documents and information

Real Estate

  • Prepares required documentation for the transfer of real estate in numerous states, obtains permits for building, and works with county officials concerning lot combines/splits, variances and supporting documents

ERISA

  • Works directly with third parties, such as CPAs and actuaries, to draft pension plans of all types and filing of all required documents with the IRS
  • Maintains pension plan records for numerous clients and is responsible for the preparation of mandatory amendments issued by the IRS to keep the plans in compliance with IRS guidelines

Estate Planning

  • Assists with the drafting of various types of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, family limited partnerships, transfer of real estate and other assets to fund partnerships and preparation of annual gifting documentation

Additional Areas

  • Diverse experience as result of working with attorneys whose legal practices cover a broad range of fields. With such a wide variety of needs to be met, Ms. Viemont has developed the skills necessary to accomplish tasks in multiple areas, such as Medicare and Medicaid compliance matters
