Biography

Mr. Arendt is experienced in acquisition and development, leasing, and real estate workouts and foreclosures. His representation includes various ground-up developments, retail centers, and banks and lenders in deed of trust and mezzanine projects.

Mr. Arendt is a Certified Real Estate Specialist with the Arizona State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He has been listed as a Southwest Super Lawyer for over seven consecutive years and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate since 2002.

Mr. Arendt is currently a member of the State Bar’s Real Estate Advisory Commission.

  • Representation of banks and other lenders in deed of trust and mezzanine financings, workouts, and foreclosures of commercial real estate, including hospitality projects
  • Acquisitions for investors throughout the Western United States
  • Represented Phoenix-based developer that has developed 5,000,000 square feet of retail and commercial property in the state of Arizona
  • Represented Phoenix-based developer on ground-up redevelopment of a two-block city center in downtown Phoenix
  • Assisted various development entities in the ground-up development of nine power centers in the state of Arizona, including the largest power center
  • Significant leasing work on the Salt, Gila and Navajo Reservations
  • Ranch purchases and sales, including water and water rights
  • Representation of developers in substantial governmental development agreements (incentive agreements)
  • Representation of developers in obtaining municipal entitlements in the Phoenix area
