Ms. McClellan focuses her practice on litigation, health care, medical and professional liability defense, and personal injury. She has experience representing professionals before their licensing and regulatory boards, including the Arizona State Board of Nursing, Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy, and the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. McClellan served as a legal extern to the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Representative Engagements

  • Represented physicians and healthcare providers in medical malpractice jury trials, including wrongful death, failure to diagnose, and negligent performance of surgery

  • Handled numerous arbitration hearings, including claims for premise liability, personal injury and breach of contract

  • Obtained dismissals in favor of medical professionals for failure to adequately allege breach of the standard of care

  • Represented the State of Arizona and insurance companies in subrogation matters, including lien claims under ERISA, Medicare and A.R.S. § 12-962

  • State of Arizona, ex rel. David Raber v. Wang, 230 Ariz. 476, 286 P.3d 1085 (App. 2012) (cert. denied March 19, 2013): Represented the State of Arizona in establishing that the State is not required to reduce its recovery rights under A.R.S. § 12-962 to account for attorneys’ fees or costs

  • Represents attorneys and law firms in matters relating to State Bar complaints, disciplinary matters, bar admissions, and other licensing, ethics and professional responsibility issues
