J. Scott Rhodes Appointed To The Mesa Judicial Advisory Board


Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C. is pleased to announce that J. Scott Rhodes, a Member (Partner) with the firm's Phoenix office, has been appointed to The Mesa Judicial Advisory Board. Rhodes, a Mesa resident, is one of seven members of the Advisory Board and was selected to serve in the position recommended by the State Bar of Arizona. The Board's duties are to recommend to the City Council the best qualified persons to become city magistrates, evaluate the performance of appointed magistrates, and advise the City Council on retaining them.

Rhodes is a transactional attorney and litigator whose practice focuses on legal ethics and the law of lawyering (including attorneys' fees disputes), energy and utilities law, local government law, and professional corporate governance and structure. He is Vice Chair of the State Bar of Arizona Ethics Committee and is member of the American Bar Association's Center for Professional Responsibility and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. He is included as a 2007 Southwest Super Lawyer in the category of Administrative Law.

Rhodes received his law degree from Arizona State University (1995) and his B.A. from Yale University (1980).
